Friday 15th February 2008 - Marked the 1st anniversary of the first pooja (maha shivrathri 2007) at the temple, first abhishekam for the Shiva Lingam
Thursday 21st February 2008 - Maasi Magam at Siva pregasen temple - abhishekam, Bhajanam & Arti for the Shiva Lingam.
Thursday 6th March 2008 - Maha Shivrathri organized at the Temple for the whole night
Sunday 30th March 2008-Thimithee (Marche Sur Le Feu) First time ever in the UK. Procession starts from the Temple with ten days of prayer

A special ceremony was held at Goodmayes Sri SivaShakti Temple for Aadi Pedinettam Perrukku
The annual walking on machetes ceremony by Mauritian Temple in collaboration with the Ammen Walthamstow Temple was held on the 3rd of August 2008.
Special Aadi Velli/ Varalakshmi Viradam prayers were held on the 15th of August 2008 at Goodmayes Sri SivaShakti Temple
A first time cavadee in the honour of Goddess Mariammen was held on the 17th of August 2008 at Goodmayes Sri SivaShakti Temple. Kodi Etram was held on the 8th of August 2008 to mark the start of ten days of fasting. A Cavadee procession was organised from South Park, Goodmayes to the Temple.
For the first time, Krishna Janmastami was celebrated on the 23rd of August at Goodmayes Sri SivaShakti Temple. Kartigai prayers were also done on that day
Deepavali was celebrated at Goodmayes Sri SivaShakti Temple on the 27th of October as per the annual customs with prayers, bhajanam, lighting of lamps, and fireworks.
Prayers were held at Goodmayes Sri SivaShakti Temple for six days of Skanda Shasti fasting from the 29th of October to the 3rd of November 2008
Goodmayes Sri SivaShakti Temple commemorates 3rd Anniversary since foundation ceremony. Ten days of prayers were done.
Kartigai Deepam was celebrated on the 11th of December 2008 for Lord Siva. Monthly Kartigai prayers were also done for Sri Murugan on that day.
Goodmayes Sri SivaShakti Temple organised its first Hanuman Jayanti prayer on Saturday the 27th of December 2008.
New Year 2009 was celebrated in the Goodmayes Temple. Prayers started as from 9.30am. The Temple was kept open from early hours in the morning till late evening to allow Devotees to take Darshan
After celebrating the new year, the first yearly event organised at Goodmayes Sri SivaShakti Temple was Thai Pongal, also known as Makar Sankranti. This was on the 14th of January 2009 with both morning and evening prayers.

Maha Shivarathri was organised on the 23rd of February from 6pm till early morning the next day. We had a very encouraging attendance.
Sittirai Cavadee was held on Friday 8th of May 2008. We walked on the road for over one mile from GSSST to South Park. This is a premier in itself.
